  • DAY 1 – Garden Route

    • VIP Meet and Greet Upon arrival into Johannesburg Airport, fast track through customs, assistance with baggage collection, and assisted check in for your connecting flight to George.

    • Fly from Johannesburg to George Airport (flights excluded)

    • Upon arrival into George, transfer to The Fancourt Hotel

    DAY 2 - Garden Route - Fancourt Hotel

    • Included round of Golf on Outeniqua Golf Course.

    DAY 3 - Garden Route - Fancourt Hotel

    • Included round of Golf on Montagu Golf Course.

    DAY 4 - Garden Route - Fancourt Hotel

    DAY 5 - Transfer to Start of ROVOS Rail Tour

    FOR GUESTS ARRIVING INTO JOHANNESBURG AIRPORT INTERNATIONAL ARRIVALS

  • DAY 1 – Pretoria

    • Depart from Rovos Rail Station, Pretoria.

    • Refreshments and meeting with fellow passengers in the lounge car and observation car.

    • Lunch served in the dining cars en route to Rustenburg.

    • Tea in the lounge and observation cars.

    • Dinner served in the dining cars. Dress code: Formal

    Accommodation Overnight: Onboard Rovos Rail in private suites

    DAY 2 – Pilanesberg/Sun City

    • Breakfast served in the dining cars.

    • Dinner served in the dining cars. Dress code: Formal

    NON-GOLFERS

    • Transfer to Sun City (approximately 60 minutes).

    • Game drive in the Pilanesberg Reserve.

    • Lunch with fellow golfers.

    • Afternoon at leisure in Lost City’s Sun City.

    • Return to the train.

    GOLFERS

    • Transfer to Sun City's Gary Player/Lost City Golf Course

    • Return to the train.

    Accommodation Overnight: Onboard Rovos Rail in private suites

    DAY 3 – At Leisure on Board

    • Full day at leisure.

    • All meals served onboard en route to Ladysmith.

    • Dress code for the day: “Africa” Theme or Smart Casual

    DAY 4 – Spionkop/Champagne Sports

    • Breakfast served in the dining cars.

    NON-GOLFERS

    • Transfer to Spionkop Lodge for historic tales and lunch.

    • Afternoon game drive in the reserve or relax at the lodge.

    • Return to the train by 16:00.

    • Tea in the lounge and observation cars.

    GOLFERS

    • Transfer to Champagne Sports Resort for Tee Off and Lunch.

    • Return to train 17:00.

    DAY 5 – Durban/Umhlanga

    • Breakfast served in the dining cars.

    • Tea in the lounge and observation cars.

    • Dinner served in the dining cars. Dress code: Formal

    NON-GOLFERS

    • City tour of Durban, visit to the botanical gardens.

    • Lunch at Umhlanga’s beachfront.

    • Afternoon at leisure.

    GOLFERS

    • Transfer to either: Durban Country Club, Mt Edgecombe or Cotswold Downs. for Tee Off and Lunch

    DAY 6 – Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park

    • Early breakfast served in the dining cars.

    • Transfer to Hluhluwe for a game drive in Africa’s oldest proclaimed reserve.

    • Return to the train and lunch served onboard as the train travels towards eSwatini.

    • Tea in the lounge and observation cars.

    • Dinner served in the dining cars en route to Mpaka. Dress code: Formal

    DAY 7 – eSwatini (Swaziland)

    • Early breakfast served in the dining cars.

    • Dinner served in the dining cars. Dress code: Formal

    NON-GOLFERS

    • Transfer to Mkhaya Reserve for a game drive.

    • Visit Swazi Candles with lunch and curio shopping.

    • Transfer to Royal Swazi to join the golfers or return to the train.

    • Tea in the lounge and observation cars.

    GOLFERS

    • Transfer to Royal Swzi Sun for Tee Off and Lunch.

    • Return to the Train.

    DAY 8 – Kruger National Park

    • Early breakfast served in the dining cars.

    • Game drive in Kruger National Park with tea and lunch.

    • Return to the train.

    • Tea served in the lounge and observation cars as the train crosses the Drakensberg Mountains.

    • Dinner served in the dining cars. Dress code: Formal

    For Golfers: If available Golf at Leopard Creek may be booked upon request on your own account.

    DAY 9 – Dullstroom/Highland Gate

    • Breakfast served in the dining cars.

    • Tea in the lounge and observation cars.

    • Dinner served in the dining cars. Dress code: “1920s” Theme or Smart Casual

    • Presentation on fly fishing followed by lunch at Walkerson’s Hotel.

    • Return to Dullstroom for a tour of the Arts & Crafts Centre and introduction to whisky distilling.

    GOLFERS

    • Transfer to Highland Gate for Tee Off and Lunch.

    DAY 10 – Pretoria

    • Breakfast served in the dining cars.

    • Train arrives at journey’s end at Rovos Rail Station in Pretoria. Ensure luggage is ready for collection 15 minutes before arrival.

  • SUN CITY – GARY PLAYER

    The Gary Player Country Club at Sun City is an award-winning golf course designed by South African golf legend Gary Player. Set in an extinct volcanic crater, this 8000-yard course offers stunning views and challenges that don't favor any particular shot, appealing to golfers at all tee positions. Home to the annual Nedbank Golf Challenge, it meets US PGA specifications and provides a luxurious golfing experience.

    LOST CITY GOLF COURSE

    The Lost City Golf Course, also at Sun City and designed by Gary Player, offers a unique blend of mountain, desert, and African parkland environments. This course stretches over 100 hectares and includes wide fairways and 28,000 square meters of water features. Its signature 13th hole features a green in the shape of Africa surrounded by a crocodile-inhabited pond.

    CHAMPAGNE SPORTS RESORT

    Situated in the scenic Drakensberg area, the Champagne Sports Resort golf course is known for its stunning mountainous backdrop. Designed by Hugh Baiocchi and Kevin Curren, the course features undulating fairways, strategic bunkers, and multiple holes with blind tee shots, all blending naturally with the surrounding beauty.

    DURBAN COUNTRY CLUB

    Established in 1922, Durban Country Club boasts a history-rich semi-links course known for its undulating fairways and views of the Indian Ocean. The course features classic Cape Dutch architecture and a challenging layout with sand dunes, dense vegetation, and strategic bunkering, highlighted by the dramatic 3rd hole.

    COTSWOLD DOWNS

    Located in Durban, Cotswold Downs features a parklands-type golf course designed by Peter Matkovich. The course offers lush fairways all year round, complemented by natural water features and excellent views, providing a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of all levels.

    MOUNT EDGECOMBE

    Mount Edgecombe Country Club in Durban features two 18-hole championship courses, offering diverse challenges and scenic beauty. The Woods and The Lakes courses offer varied play styles with strategic water hazards and indigenous bush, making for a compelling golf experience.

    ROYAL SWAZI

    The Royal Swazi golf course in Eswatini is set on the slopes of the Lebombo Range, offering a challenging layout with mountainous terrain. Features such as lakes, gullies, and strategic bunkering complement the scenic views, making it a memorable course for all golfers.

    HIGHLAND GATE

    Highland Gate, near Dullstroom, features an Ernie Els signature course set in a mountainous region. Known for its scenic beauty and challenging layout, the course offers dramatic elevation changes and strategic hazard placement, suitable for all playing standards.

    LEOPARD CREEK

    Adjacent to Kruger National Park, Leopard Creek Country Club offers a top-tier golfing experience with views of wildlife and natural landscapes. This exclusive course uses innovative techniques to blend into its environment while providing challenging holes, including the signature 13th with its dramatic river views.

  • MAIN TOUR

    Total cost for the above is AUD$15,199 per person twin share.

    Single Supplement is AUD$5,500 in a Deluxe Suite however we can also request a Pullman Gold Suite – single (which would be cheaper for single use)
